This is a digital painting portraying Ezra Weston Loomis Pound (1885 - 1972). Pound was one of the most controversial, influential, and innovative poets of the modernist period. His contribution to poetry began with his promotion of Imagism – a movement that emphasizes on clarity, precision and economy of language. His best-known works include Ripostes, Hugh Selwyn Mauberley, and, The Cantos. His own work apart, Pound was responsible for advancing the careers of some of the best-known modernist writers of the early 20th century like Eliot, Joyce, Lewis, Frost. He was awarded the Bollingen Prize in 1949 by the Library of Congress for his unfinished 120-section epic, The Cantos.
Hello Friends! I like to introduce myself as a passion worker. Since last ten years I have been engaged in doing digital art. You may find my works in my websites at www.zazzle.com/livart, and www.redbubble.com/people/mindprintz where I put my mind in forms and colors for sharing my inner feelings and ideas with those who care. Until 1993, I had been neck-deep in active librarianship. Still I enjoy doing library oriented designs mostly published by Zazzle at www.zazzle.com/mindprint9. I think, reading and listening to other's thoughts are critical to useful communications. That is why I am here to share your ideas and thoughts about my works. Thank you friends for visiting my gallery, and wish you enjoy my art.
