Herman Melville (1819 - 1891), best known for his novel Moby-Dick, was an American novelist, short story writer, essayist, and poet. After a fast-blooming literary success in the late 1840s, his popularity declined precipitously in the mid-1850s. It was not until the "Melville Revival" in the early 20th century that his work won recognition, especially Moby-Dick, which was hailed as one of the literary masterpieces of both American and world literature. The profile of Herman Melville was taken by an unknown photographer in 1860. This is a modified version of the original photographic reproduction that itself is now in the public domain as its copyright has expired.
Hello Friends! I like to introduce myself as a passion worker. Since last ten years I have been engaged in doing digital art. You may find my works in my websites at www.zazzle.com/livart, and www.redbubble.com/people/mindprintz where I put my mind in forms and colors for sharing my inner feelings and ideas with those who care. Until 1993, I had been neck-deep in active librarianship. Still I enjoy doing library oriented designs mostly published by Zazzle at www.zazzle.com/mindprint9. I think, reading and listening to other's thoughts are critical to useful communications. That is why I am here to share your ideas and thoughts about my works. Thank you friends for visiting my gallery, and wish you enjoy my art.
