Artist's Description

Federico del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús García Lorca (1898-1936), known as Federico García Lorca was a Spanish poet, playwright, and theatre director. García Lorca achieved international recognition as an emblematic member of the Generation of '27. In 1936, García Lorca was killed by Franquist soldiers. His books were burned. To this day, no one knows where rests his body.
This is a recreated version of a familiar portrait of Lorca captured by some unidentified photographer, which is now in the public domain because its copyright has expired.

About Asok Mukhopadhyay

Asok Mukhopadhyay

Hello Friends! I like to introduce myself as a passion worker. Since last ten years I have been engaged in doing digital art. You may find my works in my websites at www.zazzle.com/livart, and www.redbubble.com/people/mindprintz where I put my mind in forms and colors for sharing my inner feelings and ideas with those who care. Until 1993, I had been neck-deep in active librarianship. Still I enjoy doing library oriented designs mostly published by Zazzle at www.zazzle.com/mindprint9. I think, reading and listening to other's thoughts are critical to useful communications. That is why I am here to share your ideas and thoughts about my works. Thank you friends for visiting my gallery, and wish you enjoy my art.
