Artist's Description
This is one of the vintage playing cards representing Queen of Hearts. Looking at the costume of the latter, and the style of their execution, it is believed to be in use sometimes earlier than 1480. The image has been taken from the book, Origin and History of Playing Cards by William Chatto, pub. in 1848. The image has been modified digitally.
About Asok Mukhopadhyay
Hello Friends! I like to introduce myself as a passion worker. Since last ten years I have been engaged in doing digital art. You may find my works in my websites at www.zazzle.com/livart, and www.redbubble.com/people/mindprintz where I put my mind in forms and colors for sharing my inner feelings and ideas with those who care. Until 1993, I had been neck-deep in active librarianship. Still I enjoy doing library oriented designs mostly published by Zazzle at www.zazzle.com/mindprint9. I think, reading and listening to other's thoughts are critical to useful communications. That is why I am here to share your ideas and thoughts about my works. Thank you friends for visiting my gallery, and wish you enjoy my art.
