Artist's Description

Whitman was most renowned American poet, essayist, journalist, and humanist. This portrait is a slightly modified version of Steel engraving of Walt Whitman - a daguerreotype by Gabriel Harrison, published in 1855 edition of Leaves of Grass. This work is in the public domain in the United States, and those countries with a copyright term of life of the author plus 80 years or fewer.

About Asok Mukhopadhyay

Asok Mukhopadhyay

Hello Friends! I like to introduce myself as a passion worker. Since last ten years I have been engaged in doing digital art. You may find my works in my websites at www.zazzle.com/livart, and www.redbubble.com/people/mindprintz where I put my mind in forms and colors for sharing my inner feelings and ideas with those who care. Until 1993, I had been neck-deep in active librarianship. Still I enjoy doing library oriented designs mostly published by Zazzle at www.zazzle.com/mindprint9. I think, reading and listening to other's thoughts are critical to useful communications. That is why I am here to share your ideas and thoughts about my works. Thank you friends for visiting my gallery, and wish you enjoy my art.
